Some students begin their careers at the University using an older computer, perhaps a "hand-me-down" from an older sibling or from a parent's office. Because computing applications used throughout the curriculum demand faster systems with more memory and disk storage every year, most students who begin their academic life with an older computer will need to buy a new computer during their University of Delaware career.
If you do bring an older computer to campus, you must be aware that your computer may not be able to take full advantage of the University's network. Further, our staff will not be able to help you if your system does not meet these minimum requirements.
